We will be holding a Gold Party during Trunk 'n Treat to raise much needed funds for the Doorway. Bring your gold and silver and they will pay you cash for it! And, they will pay us for allowing them the opportunity to work with you. So, its a win for you and for the Doorway! Be My Guest Night...Friends R Welcome!

This week at Logos is Be My Guest Night. Although you are welcomed to bring a friend to LOGOS any time, this is a special night for friends. Invite your friends to join the fun and have a complimentary dinner with you. You might even win one of the prizes that Mrs. Wise mentioned.

Getting in Gear for LOGOS!!!

Hello All

Summer is almost over and school is just around the bend....Time for
LOGOS! Lots of familiar and lots of new things will be happening this year at LOGOS.

Your child is invited to the first meeting of LOGOS for 2009-2010 on Wednesday, September 9, from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm. First, however, we will have the annual Parent Meeting on Wednesday, September 2, at 7:00 pm. This mandatory, adult only meeting will last 1 hour and is designed to show an overview of the program and a preview of the year. At least one parent/guardian from each family MUST attend in order to register your child for the 2009-2010 year. There will also be a few forms to fill out. By attending this parent meeting, you will receive a $5 registration day discount! Bring your friends, family, and neighbors with LOGOS age children to find out more about this program.

I am looking forward to the start of LOGOS and getting to know your children,
and you, better. We have a lot of exciting fun planned. The most important of all is renewing and providing nurturing, loving Christian relationships between all involved, children and adults alike.

If you cannot attend the Parent Meeting, please contact me at 412-759-9132 to arrange a private meeting. You may also contact Heritage Church (412-366-1338) with any questions. All registrations must be in before Friday, September 4, 2009.

Starting September 13th, our new worship times are 9:00 am (Traditional) and 11:00 am (Contemporary), and Sunday school is between services at 10:10 am. See you on the 2nd, if not before.

Welcome to Gadget's Garage at Heritage Church

The first day of VBS was a blast. Here's a reminder of what's planned for the rest of the week:
• Tuesday is Crazy Hair Day...go for it!
• Wednesday is Water Day please wear your swimsuit under your clothes and bring a change of clothes and a towel
• Thursday is Bring a Friend Day....bring a friend to see what fun you've been having. VBS attendees who bring a friend will be entered to win a prize.
• Friday is the concluding festivities begin at 11:30. Rejoin your children for the closing assembly, slide show, and family picnic. Siblings and grand parents are welcomed too! (A sign up sheet will be available starting tomorrow).
• VBS kids are invited to sing the VBS songs at Heritage Church’s 11:15 Worship Service this Sunday. We hope you'll be able to join us.

Our mission project for VBS is The Doorway. For more info about them you can go to their website www.doorway.org or ask one of the teen volunteers from our youth group. Many regularly volunteer at the Door Way’s after school program. Children who feel led to may contribute to the loose change offering to benefit the children and families of the Doorway.

Calendar Updates!

March 29 - LOGOS Kids Sing: The LOGOS kids will be singing during the 11:15 am Worship Service at Heritage Church. Led by Morgan Mihelic and Beth Lawhead they will be performing songs learned this year. Please have your children at Heritage by 10:55 am. Let Nancy know if you will NOT be able to attend. The more voices the better the sound. Thanks.

April 1 - Best of LOGOS - Last Day: Everyone is welcomed to join us for the last evening of LOGOS. Bring the whole family to celebrate the Best of LOGOS 2008-09. We’ll enjoy a potluck dinner (see Nancy for sign up sheet), the kids will sing and demonstrate what was learned, and more. The children will arrive at 4:00 pm as usual. Parents will join us at LOGOS at 6:00 pm.
